Award-winning novelist Gail Hulnick has been an on-air broadcast journalist, a media and marketing consultant, and a mother of three, all while harboring a secret desire to be a novelist. In 2015 she couldn’t hold back any longer and her debut mystery novel, The Lion’s Share of the Air Time, was longlisted for the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award. Since then, she’s never looked back, turning out mystery novels in two series – the “Media Mysteries,” and the “Resorting Series.” Three of her novels have been recognized with awards from the Florida Writers Association.
Gail also loves to travel and write about where she’s been, the result, so far, being five travel memoirs within her "Rumble Strip" series. She is a lifelong student and has thrived in numerous academic environments. She holds a BA in sociology and psychology, an MA in journalism, an MBA with a little bit of everything, and an MFA in creative writing. If she had the time (or maybe that should be, "when"), she'd go back and do art history, dog psychology, and music. When she's not writing, she runs a boutique publishing company called WindWord Group Publishing & Media. She also hosts and produces a podcast called The Brainwave, where she interviews authors, artists, filmmakers, photographers and other creative professionals about the 'charmed moment' that led to one of their best pieces. After thirty years living in the beautiful city of Vancouver, Canada, Gail has made homes in Savannah, GA and Marco Island, FL. The best things in the world, she thinks, are books, movies, dogs, sunsets, sunrises, and beaches. She’s now back in the Pacific Northwest where she hangs her hat by a lake in scenic Bellingham, WA while keeping company with her husband, David, and her lab/border collie mix, Mr. Dickens.
