@AuthorGailHulnickThat's my Youtube channel title -- but you can find me just by searching my name. I've started posting shorts (less than 1 minute) that are recommendations of books I've read recently, bookstores I love, thoughts and ideas about writing and craft, and news, occasionally. I'm also doing some longer videos that are narrated audio versions of a few of my short stories and excerpts from books. (Those aren't heavy on visual excitement -- more a relaxing background to look at while you listen to the story. )
I'm having a blast playing with Youtube, and I hope you'll take a moment to check it out. Please click on the like button or subscribe, if you watched the content. Thanks!! Author in the Headlights* is a podcast that shines a light on authors — their inspirations, their routines, their stories — and I’m honored to be part of it. Strider Klusman is a wonderful host who knows how to ask great questions and bring out meaningful insights.
🧭 If you enjoy behind-the-scenes looks at the writing life, stories from the road, and personal reflections on creativity, you’ll feel right at home in this episode. You can check it out here creators.spotify.com/pod/profile/strider-klusman/episodes/Author-in-the-Headlights-3-15---Gail-Hulnick---Mysteries-and-Travelogues-e327da9 So excited that we've reached the funding goal for my first Kickstarter campaign! I set it very low ($250) and concentrated on learning how to use this new method of launching a book project. I think I'll probably have to do another one, just to use all the things I learned from this one.
If you'd like to buy a signed, hardcover edition of Media Mysteries, please log in to Kickstarter.com before April 15 and take a look at the campaign. I'm only going to make these available on Kickstarter, and only to readers in the U.S. and Canada, because of the high cost of shipping physical things to all other countries (although the digital editions will be available to everyone). There are other goodies available as add-ons to the pledges, too. And thanks so much to the people who have backed the campaign already! Big news! This April, I’ll be launching a Kickstarter campaign for something I’ve wanted to do for a long time—a hardcover edition featuring two gripping mysteries from my Media Mysteries series. If you love stories about ambitious reporters, buried secrets, and the dangers lurking behind the headlines, this is for you!
This special edition brings together two of my favorite mysteries, where a determined journalist refuses to back down, even when online trolls and deadly secrets threaten to silence her. If you’re a fan of smart, curious women who won’t give up until they get to the truth, you’re going to love this book. The first one is The Lion’s Share of the Air Time, and I’m celebrating the tenth anniversary of its launch and the beginning of the Media Mysteries with this new project. The second novel in the compilation is Kangaroo Court, which continues Chelan Montgomery’s experiences in the world of media. Kickstarter is a fantastic way to make this happen, and I’d love for you to be part of it. Backers will get exclusive early access, special rewards, and the chance to bring this hardcover edition to life. If you’ve ever wanted to support my work directly—and get something really special in return—this is the perfect opportunity! You’ll be able to order one of the hardcover books, an eBook version, audiobooks of each novel, and some other goodies. The project is up on Kickstarter and you can visit my page here to show your interest in it by clicking on the Notify Me button. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to launch. In the meantime, let me know—are you excited for this? Have you supported a Kickstarter before? Drop a comment or send me an email—I’d love to hear your thoughts! |
